Commanding, strong defender
A local boy, Shea is another player to have progressed through the Academy age-groups having begun playing for the club as an Under 9.
A committed central midfielder with an excellent passing range, Shea’s versatility has enabled him to also feature at right-back and in central defence.
Shea signed his first professional contract in July 2021 and moved to the EDS.
He proved pivotal to Brian Barry-Murphy‘s team in the 2021/22 season, playing 23 times in the Premier League and five matches in the UEFA Youth League.
Having helped City retain our PL2 title, Shea then made his Northern Ireland senior debut in a UEFA Nations League clash against Cyprus in June 2022.
