first team coach
Enzo Maresca returned to City in July 2022 as part of Pep Guardiola‘s backroom staff.
The Italian was first involved with the Club in the 2020/21 season, when he coached the Elite Development Squad to the first Premier League 2 title in City’s history.
At the end of that campaign, he left to take up the manager’s job at Parma.
However, he has now returned to the Etihad Stadium on first team duties ahead of the 2022/23 season.
As a player, Maresca started his senior career at West Bromwich Albion before turning out in midfield for several of Europe’s biggest clubs, including Juventus, Sevilla, Fiorentina and Olympiacos.
Following retirement, he worked as an assistant at Ascoli and Sevilla before joining former City manager Manuel Pellegrini at West Ham United in 2018.
